GGPoker Rules

Network Rules and Conditions GGPoker (18+)

GGPoker believes that providing a fair, safe, and friendly gaming atmosphere is key to ensuring that players enjoy their gaming experience to the fullest.

Adhering to high ethical standards and ensuring safety in gaming, GGPoker has developed rules that are listed on this page.

All players are required to adhere to these standards, improving the gaming atmosphere within the GGPoker community.

The GGPoker platform and all services provided through it are only available to adults, in accordance with the criteria of the jurisdictions in which GGPoker operates. It is strictly prohibited for persons under the legal age to play on GGPoker.

If you discover that a minor has access to playing on GGPoker, please report it immediately to customer support.

The account of a player who violates this rule will be permanently blocked.

GGPoker adheres to the principles of responsible gaming and takes measures to combat gambling addiction.

GGPoker also strictly prohibits minors from accessing gaming products.

GGPoker allows players to play at multiple tables or in multiple tournaments simultaneously. However, the number of tables or tournaments a player can participate in at the same time is limited by the GGPoker client software they are using, such as the PC client, mobile client, or browser client.

The maximum number of games available for simultaneous play depends on the client being used and the player’s account settings.

When joining a cash game on GGPoker, a player is usually required to make an initial bet that is equal to the small blind or the minimum bet for that table. This initial bet follows the same rules as the blinds, which are the initial mandatory bets usually made by the first two players to the left of the dealer in Hold’em and Omaha. This allows a new player to sit at the table and start playing.

In addition, players have the option to be «‎away from the game» and wait for the big blind before starting to play. Placing the initial bet ensures a fair approach to all players, without giving some players an advantage over others by entering the poker game in a «‎late position» to avoid making blinds.

This approach also helps speed up the game, reducing the time that players spend at the table without making bets.

Unlike tournaments, a player can temporarily leave a cash game. However, to return to the game, they may need to make additional bets. For example, if a player misses their turn to post the small blind while away from the table, they must make a «live (active) bet» equal to the big blind upon returning to the game. If a player misses their turn to post both the small and big blinds, they must make a «live (active) bet» equal to the big blind, as well as a «dead (inactive) bet» equal to the small blind and added to the pot. This ensures that players do not gain an unfair advantage by skipping their turn to make bets and not participating in blinds.

In case two or more active players have the same combination of cards at the showdown, the winner is determined by the strength of the combination (for example, a pair of aces beats a pair of kings). If the combinations are equal in strength (for example, a pair of kings vs. another pair of kings), the winner is determined by the highest differing card, called a «kicker». If the poker combinations exactly match between two or more active players, the pot (total amount of chips in the center of the table being contested by active players) will be evenly distributed among all players with the same combinations.

To ensure fair and enjoyable gameplay, players participating in GGPoker games must observe a reasonable period of time for their turn, which may vary depending on the table, type of poker, and stage of the tournament. Time limits are set to maintain an optimal pace of play. If a player is unable to make a decision within the specified time, their hand will be automatically folded and all bets they made in that round will be lost.

On GGPoker, players have access to a time bank to provide them with additional time to make decisions during various types of poker games. The visual display of the time bank depends on the poker client being used, such as PC or mobile phone.

The time bank grants players extra time to perform actions and can be used if a player is unable to make a decision within the set time limit.

If a player is unable to take action before the time bank expires, their hand will be automatically folded. Such restrictions help maintain a reasonable pace of play and ensure fair and enjoyable gameplay on GGPoke.

GGPoker, as the game organizer, charges a commission called «rake» on each pot at cash tables. To learn more about the rake charged at GGPoker, you can visit the «Games» section on the website and check the information on each game page.

In GGPoker tournaments, no rake is charged; instead, a tournament fee is collected, usually as a certain percentage of the buy-in. This information will be clearly stated in the lobby of each tournament.

For example, as of April 2019, the total amount a player pays to enter the $1 Omaholic tournament is $1, consisting of a $0.90 buy-in and a $0.10 tournament fee.

At the GGPoker tables, players are expected to behave as politely as they would at offline poker tables.
